Chiropractic Care

Promoting optimal health and well-being

We treat the cause - not just the symptom

Many people go to a doctor to get a symptom treated—a backache, headache, upset stomach or something else. If the symptom goes away, they feel “healed.” However, symptoms often are just the outward signs of a serious health condition, and symptom relief is not always a cure.

At Boyd Chiropractic Center, our approach to patient care is to find the underlying cause of a health problem—not just treat the symptoms. Our mission is to get you back to a healthy and active lifestyle using safe, state of the art and comfortable chiropractic techniques.

Who can benefit from chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care helps patients with a wide range of injuries and disorders of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system—muscles, ligaments and joints. Doctors of Chiropractic have significant expertise in caring for patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches and pain in the joints of the arms or legs. But the benefits of chiropractic care also extend to general health issues, since our body's structure affects our nervous system and overall function.

Children can be helped by chiropractic care as well. Falls, rough-housing and sports injuries can lead to back and neck pain, stiffness, soreness and general discomfort.

Delaying or foregoing chiropractic treatment for childhood injuries can lead to scoliosis (an abnormal curvature of the spine) and very often sets the stage for degenerative joint disease, arthritis and other serious conditions in adulthood.

Does insurance cover chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care is included in most health insurance plans including major medical policies, auto accident insurance, Workman's Compensation and Medicare. The staff at Boyd Chiropractic Center will be happy to help verify your level of coverage. If you are not covered, we have many payment options available to be sure that you get the care you need. We offer discounts for active-duty members of the armed forces, police officers and firefighters along with others in the healthcare field.
